Radio personality Donnie Simpson had a choice. He could either play the music he liked, the funk and old-school R&B that uplifted and inspired, or he could play what boosted ratings, the contemporary songs about "reinventing sex" and "slippery cookies."
When the CBS-owned radio station in Washington, D.C., put the pressure on Simpson to change his playlist, he chose to leave instead of forfeit control.
