about thorobred...
I am a simple dude and I love being black, I love having the gift of gab and my other love is hip hop music. I was born in New York, so my heart will always be there. But I represent more than my home state and my city. I represent the spirit and attitude of poor people all over the world. My music is not a gimmick or the story of someone else’s world. It’s about me and my life experiences. To know me is to know my music.
I truly dislike the garbage played on the radio. I feel that the major record companies are changing what hip hop music means and stands for. They are making our music a hated art form. I agree that some songs paint vivid pictures of violence, drugs, guns, street life and the exploitation of women and men. But this is the attitude and lifestyle of the youth in poor communities around the world. Black people are naturally musical, artistic and poetic. Our music and art is a way of communicating with people who are not from our neighborhoods or our blocks.
Music is art, and like other forms of art it can be beautiful, contradictory, offensive and just plain ol’ confusing to those who don’t understand it. I would like to thank all of my fans, friends and family for the support. I will continue to give you true school music that you can love and play over and over. Remember, “Hip hop is for everybody but everybody isn’t for hip hop.”P.E.A.C.E. (Please Educate All Children Equaly) THOROBRED a.k.a. MR.GitBizzy
