about jen...
Peace. I’m on this group to link up with anyone who is down for the cause…our visionaries, debaters, artists, communicators, technicians, MDs, NDs, PhDs, lawyers, mechanics, emcees, writers, breakers, busgirls, janitors, entrepreneurs, social workers, teachers, immigrants, refugees, DJs, preachers, professors, baristas, students, carpenters, youth, elderly…everyone…revolutionary.
I live in Seattle, spending a good majority of my time working with Seattle area public schools…4th-12th graders, in class and after school teaching debate. The rest of the time I’m working to raise funds to support their educational opportunties by providing supplies and support so that they can travel and compete at debate tournaments at high schools and universities within Washington State and around the country. The goal is to empower youth. They are our leaders of today and tomorrow and they need all of the support we can give them. Especially those whose voices are cast so deep into the margins that we have transformed them into our social ghouls…monkeys…criminally inclined burdons that belong in cages. It’s crazy ya’ll…and it can’t get better without us calling that whole system out. The system ain’t gone change unless we make it change…a single spark can light a prairie fire…no doubt the little ones are on that tip…I’m trying my best to help them stay lit.
