about black10...

“I’m not a killer, and I’m not a thief I am hip hop.” Words from the man himself. From age 9 this young hero was destined to outshine the competition. He was a shy kid who craved attention. Ironic you say. At the age of 13 he was awoken to the harsh reality of life and death. Him and his father were home when suddenly he was woken up by the 3 words Bran I’m dying. His dad was having a heart-attack right there in front of him. Mom not home to tell him what to do he quickly ran next door to awake the neighbors to have them help and call 911. “We didn’t have a phone at the time”. None of those things helped his father past soon after. Which left him and his brothers to fend for themselves.

Not strong enough yet to fight off hundreds of crazy people trying to reach their hand in the cookie jar that their dad left for them. They saw money dwindle until it was no more. And just like the money people parted ways soon after. That made him realize at that early age that it’s not love but what you can offer people that keeps them around. So his mother packed their bags and moved to Denver, N.C. This is where he learned to put his pain into a pen and start creating rhymes. Which would help him escape the reality of life around him. Death, family drug abuse, and domestic violence the problems were all around. He then realized his life of bad times and sorrow were just a test from god. A test of will, character, and faith.

He decided to launch a independent record company. He says “I wasn’t looking for help cause somethings you’re meant to do alone. And if I’m recording the tracks, making the beats, and writing the lyrics why should they get all the money.” So he started Dead End Records and it’s been on every since. Black Hero has dropped 2 albums from that label and sold a combined 400 copies on his own.” That might sound funny to big artist but to me thats a big accomplishment with no help from anyone I’m already platinum.” But only time will tell if this young star will dim out any time soon. Black Hero is Carolina’s FinestDead End Records is committed to representing Carolina’s Finest musicians and artist no matter what shape, size or form.
