I was introduced to hip hop through the act of graffiti and listening to ‘unapproriate’ music of the time. I dreamed of moving the crowd through beats but gave up my mix-matched tables and a used mixer several years ago. It was too much effort to keep up with the latest equipment. I find hip-hop far more rewarding and inspirational when I don’t need a complicated tool to create what i’m feeling. I guess that’s why I participate in the culture through painting…
