Sicko was born and raised in the streets of New York. He began writing lyrics at the age of 12, and by 13 recorded his first basement track. When Sicko turned 16, he inked his first deal with Universal Records / Diehard Records. Sicko toured the US promoting his single with many well known artists of that era including Jay-Z, KRS-1, Heltah Skelta, Smooth da Hustla, Fat Joe, Wu Tang, and many more. By 18 Sicko backed out of the deal with Diehard, and began analyzing more to understand the game from a business stand point. Soon after, Sicko purchased his own studio and began recording. Sicko scouted talent and decided to start an independent recording label called Speak On It Entertainment. He then dropped a mixtape hosted by DJ Kast One of Hot 97 called “Sicko, I Sense a Winner”. Not long after, he dropped a second mixtape hosted by DJ Envy of Hot 97 called “Sicko, The Peoples Problem”. This gave him a well established name in the New York streets. Sicko then took on an a.k.a. which was Kotton-P. However, soon after he decided to stick with the name that he carried for years, Sicko. He then took other measures to get him known which was the DVD field. Getting on a DVD wasn’t too hard for this young entreprenuer, because he had already established a name. He got himself on many well known DVD’s including All Access DVD, Hoodlife DVD, Cocaine City DVD, Raw DVD, and many many more. After recording on the DVD with All Access, they decided to host another mixtape of Sicko called “Sicko, Respect Due”. NOW… in 2008, he prepared a single with Tony Sunshine of Terror Squad called “Let It Rain” and it did well. He found himself being interviewed on many radio stations and in many magazines. He dropped another mixtape hosted by Shadyvilles DJ Bedz of the Denver Nuggets, and DJ Chonz of Violator. Sicko also signed a contract to play Larry Davis in a big screen movie. All of Sicko’s success is triggered by his downfalls and the saying he lives by which is “The main thing is to keep The Main Thing, the main thing. SICKO.
