We’ve added some blogging features to b-boys.com today. The site was largely a news and links site before today; now we have the possibility of including editorial content as well.

The blogging features on the site are, at the moment, VERY bare bones. I’ll be adding more features, and refining the codebase a lot of the next couple of weeks. At the moment blogging is limited to a few brave beta-testers, but as soon as we are ready for prime time we’ll open it up to anyone who wants to blog here and is a good writer.

Some of the things that I will be adding very soon are:

• upload a picture with your blog post
• preview your post before submitting it
• save your post as a draft
• RSS feed for your blog
• RSS feed for all b-boys.com blogs
• more formatting options for your blog entries

More long term, I’ll be adding:

• integration with our forums
• anonymous comments (checked for spam with Aksimet)
• trackbacks/pings
• other stuff that people ask me for
