Branford Marsalis’ excellent tune is made into one of my all-time favorites by Maya Angelou’s recitation of some of the verses from her poem. Brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it.

The title references the greatest poem by the great Maya Angelou. It’s pretty out of context to use that as the title for an article about snitches.
She recited this poem on a Branford Marsalis CD a number of years back… probably the best thing he ever recorded.
