Dr. Donda West, mother of Kanye West, dead at 58
Dr. Donda West, mother of Kanye West, has died in Los Angeles as the result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure. Dr. West had a 31-year career as an English professor, eventually chairing Chicago State University's English department before leaving academia in 2004 to help manage her son's career.

you don’t know me but Donda who graduated with my sister was like my other big sister when i was a child, your grandparents whom i was crazy about and my mother ( Exie johnson ) who passed away when i was 28 years old were very close friends. . you have my heart felt symphathy and my prayers are with you and your family in this very sad time.
