Rapper Mystikal Released from Prison
Michael Tyler, also known as New Orleans rapper Mystikal, was released from prison Jan. 11, after serving half of his 6 year sentence.
In 2004, the Grammy nominated artist was found guilty of sexual battery after he and two bodyguards forced a woman to perform oral sex on the group. Mystikal alleges that the woman had stolen $80,000 in checks.
Mystikal was found guilty and sentenced to six years in Elayn Hunt Correctional Center outside of Baton Rouge, La. He was also found guilty of federal tax offenses on Jan. 12, 2006, but was allowed to serve the one year sentence concurrently.
Mystikal's last studio album, "Tarantula," was nominated for a best rap album Grammy in 2003.
