Kiotti concerned over highly anticipated CD, ‘Almost Famous’ after it was leaked onto the internet



Kingwood TX, August 20th, 2007: Houston-based rapper, Kiotti, discovered late last week that his entire album had been leaked on the internet. No word yet, as to who was responsible, but despite the leak, the official release date for ‘Almost Famous’ remains scheduled for September.

 Kiotti, made a name for himself very quickly after battling and winning a freestyle contest against rapper, Lil’ Flip on Houston radio station KBXX, 97.9 The Box. Shortly after, The Source Magazine recently created a buzz when they named Kiotti as one of the industry’s “Unsigned Hype”. You can also hear Kiotti on mix tapes co-hosted by the Go DJ’s and OG Ron C and is also featured in music by DJ Whoo Kid.

 As Kiotti’s popularity in the rap world grew, he began to get offers from Def Jam, Sony and J Records, only to reject their offers in hopes of a deal more complementary of his talent and career goals. Soon after, former Def Jam and Sony A&R Exec, Selim Bouab, signed Kiotti with Unauthorized Entertainment along with major label backing from Asylum/WEA.

 More than just a rapper, Kiotti has expressed his concerns for the potential of drug use in children, and is developing a community program called ‘Young Fam Against Drugs’. Kiotti’s plan is to educate youth on the negative effects of drug use and the life-altering issues that occur as a result.
