Jay-Z is amid negotiations to leave Def Jam for Columbia Records. Some say the reason is the recent arrival of Jermain Dupri as president of the Island Urban music division. One source said: "There isn't room for two kings at one label. Why would Island bring in another power-hitter urban guy?"
