Oakland Murder Mystery tied to the Thizz and Hyphy
In response to an article in the “New York Times,” that ran a piece on the city’s out-of-control homicide rate, truthdig.com thinks they might know the cause. Specifically,the drug ecstasy that is often referred to as “Thizz” by prominent Hyphy rappers like Mac Dre, Mistah Fab and E-40. In short, the article makes the case that Thizz may be the new crack cocaine and thereby the catalyst for the rising homicides and gang violence in Oakland.
