Hip-Hop Pioneer Marley Marl Suffers Heart Attack
Koch Records has confirmed that legendary hip-hop producer Marly Marl has suffered a heart attack yesterday (June 5) and is currently hospitalized.
Marley Marl, who hails from the Queensbridge Projects in Queens, NY, is a founding member of 1980's golden era hip-hop collective the Juice Crew, featuring such rap heavyweights as Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, MC Shan and Biz Markie, among others. Marley is also responsible for founding famed record label Cold Chillin', and producing for LL Cool J, Eric B & Rakim and TLC.
