Who Is This Banksy?
I asked Unangst what more he could tell me about Banksy, and he replied, “The only thing I can say is he’s like everybody, but he’s like nobody.” And so began the koan of Banksy, whose own talents as an aphorist—“Never paint graffiti in a town where they still point at aeroplanes”; “Only when the last tree has been cut down and the last river has dried up will man realize that reciting red Indian proverbs makes you sound like a fucking muppet”—seem to inspire all who cross his path. Banksy has convinced nearly everyone who has ever met him that promulgating his image would amount to an unconscionable act of soul robbery.

Banksy sounds like a typical graff kid, always staying two steps ahead of pursuers and pig patrol. Banksy stays true to the graff code: Never Reveal or Give yourself Up. Keep spinning the bullshite as long as you can. Big ups to Banksy.
banksy is the shit. but to say hes two steps ahead of the pigs? stencils dont take that long. most of the work is done at home, and with fat caps putting up stencils takes seconds…thats why he does it cuz hes slow at painting(so ive heard).not as much risk of getting caught and he can recreate the pieces infinitely. all that aside he work is hot and he is still my all time favorite street artist.RESPECT
