A gangster in white America is called a thug. I disagree, although a gangster can be a thug if and when a situation calls for it. Everyone has a little thug in them at one time or another. A thug is the complete opposite of a gangster.
He's reckless, undisciplined and never focused.



A gangster can be rough and rugged, a thug as some may say, but a thug who has recreated and refined himself. Note: He still possesses those thug tendencies so don't test him cus he will get "knee deep in yo' @#*" with zero hesitation. That's the beauty of it, humble but vicious. A gangster is first and foremost a leader and a thinker. He's extremely driven, disciplined, a master planner, patient, deliberate, always focused, neveracts in haste, stays behind the scenes and he's alway willing to do what the other man won't an he'll stop at nothing to get what he's after. A gangster will scratch, claw, bite, spit and do whatever else he must do to get to the top. A gangster is nothing more than a take no prisoner mindset. Everything else is a by-product. The mindset says "I will win by any and all means necessary and nothing and no one will stop me."



Take for instance, John Gotti (RIP) known mob boss and Donald Trump real estate tycoon, although they are and were in two completely different lines of business they shared some of the same characteristics and midsets. They both are and were extremely driven, hungry, greedy and fearless and I bet it's safe to say that will and would not have allowed anything or anyone to stand in their way and would crush anyone that tried. A gangster in our world today is a real die hard go-getter. Hew's hungry, thirsty, thirsty and posseses a take no prisoners attitude.



A gangster, street or corporate knows the rules of the game and constructs his plan(s) accordingly. He adapts and adjust when necessary and even cuts corners when a situation calls for it. A gangster is anyone, man, woman, player, pimp, hustler, athlete, black, white, hispanic, asian or whatever. They can come from any walk of life, any part of the world, illegal or legit. A gangster is a person who is at the top of his game or down in the trenches striving with a determined mindset that is determined to get whatever it is after in life by any and all means necessary. Although being a gangster is first a mindset, we live by the same rules, codes and beliefs and we're all going after the same thing....our dream(s).
