A daring look at hip-hop. Examination of culture brings insight, outrage. Dismantling the destructive messages that pervade such a popular musical form is a tall order for just 60 minutes of film. Byron Hurt, a 36-year-old black filmmaker from Boston, seeks to expose and explain in his documentary Hip-Hop on PBS tonight.
