Samuel L. Jackson is being tipped to play James Brown in a movie of the late soul legend's life. The film was already in the early planning stages before Brown died of pneumonia on Christmas Day. He was 73. Rumours are now rife that the film's director Spike Lee, whose past work includes Clockers and Malcolm X, wants Jackson to play the Living In America singer.

Samuel Jackson better be able to dance... and how the hell is he going to appear in a movie where they can't kill him off? I guess after Snakes on a Plane he's looking to do something to recover his reputation... but for sure, this film is starting to sound better and better.
