Not strictly hip-hop, but Joss Stone has a new album coming up which incorporates some hip hop grooves and features Common as a guest on one track. I know some people who don't listen to her might criticize her thinking that she's a record producers wet dream - a cute little blonde English girl that sings like a black American woman. But this girl really is amazingly talented and has been matched up with a great band to back her up... just have a listen to "Tell me 'bout it" for a refreshing spin on the classic Motown sound.
